Due to the different regulations, languages and cultures in the world, people always find difficulties for international trading business. However, the following tips will help a lot, especially for doing business with Chinese businesses.

Visit the factory if possible. In general, the factories are located in South of China, like Guangdong (Canton) province. The best way to find quality manufacturers is by visiting them in person if possible. Do they have research and development (R&D) department?  Do they have testing facilities? How many employees do they have? Do they have the ability to produce large quantity in time for you? Are they reliable and trustful? Seeing is believing, therefore you will get the answer over there.

Local presence. If it’s not necessary or impossible to visit the factories, it’s better to do business with companies who have local presence in North America. Attending Exhibitions. Generally speaking, a good supplier will attend key exhibitions in their industry, like CTIA (the Wireless Association). You can see their products, talk with them directly on the trade show.

Start with samples. In order to avoid any potential risk, you can place a small order for testing purpose. Some suppliers set a very high MOQ (Minimum Oder Quantity), that’s not good for small buyers. On the other hand, some suppliers allow you to order even 1 or 2 pieces, because they’re confident of their product quality and care different customers’ needs.

Quality Management and Certifications. Last but not least, any antenna manufacturers you are going to do business with have to have certain certifications, like ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, FCC & CE certifications, RoHS Compliant and Lead free.
